A high voltage circuit breaker device including a drive mechanism consisting of a drive lever having a part acting as a locking arm, a hinged hinged connection connected to a stationary member and to the locking arm, a retaining means releasable devices arranged to prop up the hinged connection, an actuation rod connected to the actuation lever and provided with an interconnecting member to operate the actuation lever and a closing means to effect rotational movement of the actuation lever.
