Abstract

Un manguito multimetálico obturable para la rápida reparación de un tubo degradado debido ataque químico detrimental de la superficie exterior de dicho tubo, dentro y en la proximidad de una placa de tubo en un generador de vapor, y que se inserta y obtura en el tubo degradado franqueando la zona de degradación, que comprende un miembro interior con propiedades mecánicas equivalentes a las del tubo degradado; un miembro exterior adherido metalúrgicamente al miembro interior y resistente al ataque químico intergranular cáustico causante de la degradación del tubo; una porción expandida del manguito en un extremo para situación en el tubo, dentro de la placa de tubo; una multiplicidad de ranuras formadas en el otro extremo del manguito y adyacentes al mismo, que se extienden hacia dentro en el generador de vapor, más allá de la placa de tubo; y un material para soldadura fuerte contenido en dichas ranuras.
