On the other hand, the need has recently arisen to form not only a pattern on a warp knitted fabric manufactured by a double raschel machine, but also irregularities that adapt to the pattern. For example, recently, a manufacturing process using warp knitting with high manufacturing efficiency has attracted attention as a shoe upper process. Therefore, it is required to form not only a pattern on an upper part of a shoe, but also the irregularities that suit the pattern.

However, in a warp knitted fabric manufactured by the traditionally known double raschel machine, a surface becomes too flat. For example, it is possible to form slight irregularities that can be recognized by touch, according to a pattern incorporating threads thicker than other threads in a jacquard bar, but it is impossible to form irregularities large enough to be recognized by the naked eye, according with a reason.

Traditionally, a padding has been known as a fabric that exhibits irregularities. However, in the quilting manufacturing process, first, a front fabric and a back fabric are manufactured individually, and a core material is interposed between the front fabric and the back fabric, and finally they are sewn together. This procedure is complicated. In order to form holes in the padding, the manufacturing process becomes even more complicated.
