Palpador para cadenas de mordazas de máquinas tensoras y secadoras o fijadorasa base de aluminio o d euna aleación de aluminio con una cuchilla (6) dispuesta de forma móvil en una ranura (5) del palpador (4)que presenta un filo (7) rectilíneoque tiene una abertura (12) cuya sección transversal es mayor que la sección transversal de un pomo guiado a través de la abertura (12) sujeto por ambos lados de la ranura (5) en el palpador (4)caracterizado porque la abertura (12) está dispuesta en el centro de la cuchilla (6) y al borde longitudinal (10) de la cuchilla (6) opuesto al filo rectilíneo (7) discurre sobre una zona central formando un arco convexocon el que la cuchilla (6) puede apoyarse contra una delimitación de profundidad (11) de la ranura (5) que discurre formando un arco cóncavo.
