Abstract
Esta invención se relaciona con la fotografía en color y más particularmente con la provisión de nuevos acopladores cromáticos para uso en materiales para fotografía en color, con la producción de tales acopladores y con su empleo. La mayoría de los modernos métodos de fotografía en color se basan en un procedimiento que puede establecerse genéricamente como sigue. Se usa un material fotográfico que contiene capas de emulsión de haluro de plata sensibles a la luz y superpuestas. Este material se expone para formar en las capas imágenes latentes, correspondientes respectivamente a las respuestas cromáticas principales del asunto original (azul, verde y rojo). El material expuesto es revelado directamente o siguiendo una técnica de inversión en un denominado revelador cromático, que es muy frecuentemente una diamina de para-fenileno N-sustituida u homólogo de la misma, en presencia de denominadores cromáticos, que son productos intermedios colorantes que combinan con los productos de oxidación del revelador para formar, in situ con la plata revelada, un tinte de azometina o quinona-imina.
