Abstract

Pile fabric cover (2) for the core (1) of paint rollers, having a backing (4, 5) with pile naps (6) or pile fibers anchored therein, wherein the backing (4, 5) comprises completely or partly of yarn composed of thermoplastic fibers, characterized in that the thermoplastic fibers are fibers having a softening range between about 90 to 110 degrees C like polyolefine fibers, and that the backing (4, 5) of the pile fabric (3) is heat-sealable with the core (1) of the paint roller.
