Abstract

1. Un artículo absorbente capaz de absorber y retener en él grandes cantidades de fluidos acuosos, en forma de un gel estable, el cual comprende un absorbente de goma guar reticulada con bóraz y seco, estando dicho absorbente soportado por un material de substrato, flexible, con lo que dicho artículo es susceptible de ser retenido en una forma que conseve el contacto con un cuerpo de animal, de tal manera que el material absorbente sea capaz de entrar en contacto con los fluidos corporales exudados por el cuerpo. 2. Un artículo de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, el cual comprende, además, una hoja de cubierta, en contacto con el cuerpo, permeable a los fluidos, que recubren a dicho substrato flexible. 3. Un artículo de acuerdo con la reivindicación 2, en el cual la goma guar es goma guar hidroxipropilada. 4. Un artículo de acuerdo con la reivindicación 3, el cual está constituido como un pañal de un solo uso. 5. Un artículo de acuerdo con la reivindicación 4, en el cual dicha hoja de cubierta es una hoja superior permeable a la orina en contacto con el cuerpo y dicho pañal incluye además una hoja inferior impermeable a los líquidos, y dicha goma de guar reticulada está presente como capa intermedia entre dicha hoja superior y dicha hoja inferior. 6. Un artículo de acuerdo con la reivindicación 5, en el cual dicha capa intermedia comprende una capa de fibras hidrófilas que soportan dicho material absorbente. 7. Un artículo de acuerdo con la reivindicación 6, en el cual el material absorbente está distribuido por toda la capa fibrosa. 8. Un artículo de acuerdo con la reivindicación 5, en el cual la capa intermedia comprende una capa de un substrato multicelular, en que dicho material absorbente está contenido en las celdillas de dicho substrato. 9. Un artículo de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, el cual está constituido como un vendaje para absorber sangre. 10. Un artículo de acuerdo con la reivindicación 9, el cual está constituido como un paño higiénico. 11. Un artículo absorbente.
