Abstract

Método para el procesamiento de un flujo de transporte (TS, 1) utilizando un reproductor multimedia (MP, 10), donde el flujo de transporte (TS, 1) se recibe a partir de una fuente de contenido fuera del reproductor multimedia, donde el reproductor multimedia comprende: un módulo de acceso condicional (DECR, CA); un dispositivo de almacenamiento local (MEM, 19) para almacenar al menos un contenido prealmacenado identificable (EV-R, S2'); y un módulo de presentación (DISP) para presentar el flujo de transporte procesado (4) a un usuario; donde el flujo de transporte (TS, 1) comprende: una pluralidad de contenidos (EV, S1, S2, S3) del primer tipo que son eventos programados y del segundo tipo que son eventos repetibles; y un metadato (EIT, ECM) que comprende información de conmutación encriptada (ID, 24) que indica un contenido sustituible recibido en el flujo de contenido como adecuado para ser sustituido por un contenido alternativo identificado con un identificador único encriptado en la información de conmutación; donde el método comprende: desencriptar la información de conmutación encriptada utilizando el módulo de acceso condicional; si la información de conmutación identifica el contenido prealmacenado como el contenido alternativo, entonces: sustituir el al menos un contenido indicado de la pluralidad de contenidos por al menos parte del contenido alternativo así identificado; donde el acceso a dicho dispositivo de almacenamiento está bloqueado para evitar cualquier recarga de la memoria con contenido elegido por el usuario.

Para evitar que haya fotogramas en negro en la sección alternativa que se va a visualizar, tal diferencia se compensará añadiendo un contenido alternativo que tenga una imagen fija, en casos de que la longitud de la sección que se ha de sustituir sea más larga que la suma anteriormente mencionada. En caso de que esta longitud sea ligeramente más larga, la diferencia se podría compensar mediante la extensión al menos uno de los contenidos alternativos. Dicha extensión se podría obtener por ejemplo mediante la prolongación de la duración de cada imagen de vídeo del contenido y sincronizando el sonido de la misma manera.
[0079] Por el contrario, si la longitud de la sección S1, S2, S3 que se ha de sustituir es ligeramente más corta que esta suma, la diferencia se podría compensar mediante la compresión de al menos uno de los contenidos alternativos. Dicha compresión se podría obtener por ejemplo reduciendo el índice de fotogramas de vídeo y aumentando ligeramente la velocidad del sonido, para mantener la sincronización entre la imagen y el sonido.
[0080] El valor de índice de la información de conmutación 24 también podría ser un identificador ECM, por ejemplo un identificador de paquete que pertenece al ECM 21. Además, el valor de longitud de sección puede estar incluido en este identificador ECM.

Además, debe observarse que el contenido publicitario puede ser contenido de libre acceso o contenido aleatorizado.
[0084] En casos en que la memoria de contenido alternativo 19 comprende publicidad, sería adecuado bloquear el acceso a esta memoria para evitar cualquier recarga con contenidos elegidos por el usuario. En otras palabras, la memoria de contenido alternativo es accesible por el sistema pero no directamente por el usuario. Toda o parte de la información almacenada en la memoria de contenido alternativo se puede cambiar de manera inalámbrica o "over the air". Una forma de adquirir nuevo contenido alternativo es controlar el flujo de transporte de entrada para contenido adecuado para usar como contenido alternativo para ver si ese contenido ya está almacenado en la memoria de contenido alternativo o no.
