Abstract

Grain threshing apparatus, characterized in that the cylindrical surface of a rotating drum or roller cooperates with the adjacent surface of each of a plurality of counter-pressure members arranged around a substantial portion of the periphery of said cylindrical surface, being spaced circumferentially of said drum or roller said counter-pressure members and extending axially with respect to it, said cylindrical surface and adjacent surfaces elastically springing in reciprocal relation radially with respect to said drum or roller, threshing being carried out by rotation of said drum so that the relative movement between said drum or roller and the counter-pressure members cause the grain to be rubbed between said cylindrical surface and said adjacent surfaces, whereby the grain is rubbed away from the pins.
