The present invention relates to the manufacture of containers for food consumption.

State of the art

There are currently numerous containers for the consumption of food on the market, such as plates, trays, cones, or glasses, which are formed in various materials depending on the reiteration of their use and the place of use.

Within the current market, there are containers destined for successive uses, so they are developed in thicker materials and with more resistant physical characteristics, while on the other hand there are also containers destined for a more occasional and punctual use, such as products called disposables, where the product life cycle is very short and therefore its physical characteristics and materials are lighter.

If we talk about resistant and thicker plates, such as those made of ceramic / porcelain or glass, it should be noted that due to their composition, they are designed for continuous use with their corresponding washing for hygienic maintenance. In addition, it is necessary to highlight the danger of breakage due to the fall that entails its use and which increases due to transport and use in open areas, exits to the countryside, mountains or meetings.

When talking about dishes that have occasional and punctual use, it should be said that they are usually used at times where they are needed but there is no time for subsequent washing, where their use implies a danger of breakage due to falling, or where for the place or use do not require a second use.

Within this diversity of disposable plates, there are different types depending on the raw material used for its creation.

Currently the best known and used are those made of plastic materials, which lack an important quality such as biodegradability and therefore, its impact on the environment.

Detailed description of the invention

The container for food consumption object of this invention, whether it is a dish, has particular constructive characteristics aimed at solving the exposed problem.

For this purpose and in accordance with the invention, this plate is based on an element of a monolayer body constituted from a wood sheet between 1.5 and 1.7 millimeters thick, provided with an upper concavity made after a process of molding, from the application of heat and pressure by means of a hot plate press or other molding method, thus being able to shape and plasticize the wood to achieve structural stability and reduction of the porosity of the element.

Thanks to this molding process, it is achieved that the raw material is in an optimal state for food consumption.

The base of the monolayer body is made of wood, being of different tree species, so it will generate a change in the production variables according to the characteristics of each species, but not in the final result, due to the feasible qualities for the molding and the reduction in processing of obtaining the veneer from the roundwood. The invention has been carried out in various ways to verify that the final result is the same.

It has been proven that the longer the exposure time, the greater the processing stability is achieved.
