Abstract

Un método para producir continuamente un producto de amina cuaternaria (QAP) que comprende las etapas de: alimentar continuamente los reactivos en un reactor de tanque agitado continuamente (CSTR), los reactivos que comprenden un sustrato de amina terciaria (TAS), agua, y un agente alquilante; mantener las condiciones en el CSTR de tal manera que se forman dos fases líquidas sustancialmente distintas, una primera fase y una segunda fase, la segunda fase que es más densa que la primera fase, la segunda fase que comprende más de 80 % de QAP y menos de 20 % de agua, la primera fase presente en más de 5 % en peso de la mezcla de reacción, y comprende TAS, y agente alquilante; no permitir que el contenido de agua del CSTR exceda 16 % de los reactivos añadidos continuamente al CSTR; y eliminar continuamente, solamente la segunda fase líquida del CSTR.
