Abstract

Un sistema que comprende: -una unidad de abonado (16) para controlar la potencia de transmisión durante el establecimiento de un canal en un sistema (10) de comunicación de acceso múltiple por división de código utilizando la transmisión de un código corto, que tiene un período mucho más corto que un código de expansión convencional, que es actualizada periódicamente y no porta datos durante el aumento de potencia inicial para limitar el exceso de potencia y las interferencias y permitir una rápida sincronización con una estación de base (14), comprendiendo la unidad de abonado: -medios (90; 158) para transmitir el código corto a una estación de base (14) a un nivel de potencia de transmisión que es más bajo que un nivel de potencia requerido para la detección por parte de la estación de base; -medios (160) para incrementar rápidamente dicha potencia de transmisión y transmitir repetidamente el código corto hasta que el código corto sea detectado por la estación de base, y, comprendiendo la estación de base: -medios (62) para transmitir la indicación a la unidad de abonado de que cese el incremento de potencia de transmisión una vez que el código corto haya sido detectado.
