Abstract

Un método para eliminar finos de un fluido que contiene hidrocarburos, que comprende: a. preparar un medio de lecho de material de tierra particulado; b. pasar el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos que tiene finos en el mismo a través del medio de lecho a una velocidad de flujo tal que una parte de los finos se retengan en el medio de lecho para formar un fluido que contiene hidrocarburos filtrado, dicha velocidad de flujo es suficiente para mantener una película humectante del fluido que contiene hidrocarburos a través de al menos una parte mayoritaria del material de tierra particulado que se pone en contacto con el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos; y c. recuperar el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos filtrado del medio de lecho.

Claims (26)

  1. REIVINDICACIONES
    1. Un método para eliminar finos de un fluido que contiene hidrocarburos, que comprende:
    a.
    preparar un medio de lecho de material de tierra particulado;
    b.
    pasar el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos que tiene finos en el mismo a través del medio de lecho a una velocidad de flujo tal que una parte de los finos se retengan en el medio de lecho para formar un fluido que contiene hidrocarburos filtrado, dicha velocidad de flujo es suficiente para mantener una película humectante del fluido que contiene hidrocarburos a través de al menos una parte mayoritaria del material de tierra particulado que se pone en contacto con el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos; y
    c.
    recuperar el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos filtrado del medio de lecho.
  2. 2.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde el medio de lecho también es un material hidrocarbonáceo del que se produce el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos de modo que la producción del fluido que contiene hidrocarburos y la eliminación de los finos se produce al mismo tiempo.
  3. 3.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde el paso del fluido que contiene hidrocarburos incluye introducir el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos en el medio de lecho posterior a la producción del fluido que contiene hidrocarburos a partir de un material hidrocarbonáceo.
  4. 4.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos se produce a partir de un material hidrocarbonáceo y el material de tierra particulado es del mismo tipo de material que el material hidrocarbonáceo.
  5. 5.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde el material de tierra particulado se selecciona del grupo que consiste en esquisto bituminoso, arenas alquitranadas, carbón, y combinaciones de los mismos.
  6. 6.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde el material de tierra particulado es esquisto bituminoso.
  7. 7.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde el material de tierra particulado tiene un tamaño medio desde aproximadamente 0,06 mm hasta aproximadamente 1 m.
  8. 8.
    El método de la reivindicación 7, en donde el tamaño medio es desde aproximadamente 2 cm hasta aproximadamente 1 m.
  9. 9.
    El método de la reivindicación 7, en donde el tamaño medio es desde aproximadamente 0,06 mm hasta aproximadamente 5 mm.
  10. 10.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos se selecciona del grupo que consiste en esquisto bituminoso, lodos de arenas alquitranadas, producto de licuación de carbón, y combinaciones de los mismos.
  11. 11.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde la película humectante tiene un espesor de menos de aproximadamente 1 mm.
  12. 12.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde la velocidad de flujo es suficiente para proporcionar un tiempo de residencia del fluido que contiene hidrocarburos desde aproximadamente 2 días hasta aproximadamente 4 meses.
  13. 13.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde al menos una parte de la película humectante tiene un espesor que no supera un espesor de una película en equilibrio.
  14. 14.
    El método de la reivindicación 13, en donde la película humectante es al menos el 10% en volumen del material de tierra particulado.
  15. 15.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde el medio de lecho es sustancialmente estacionario durante el paso del fluido que contiene hidrocarburos a través del medio de lecho.
  16. 16.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde la retención de la parte de los finos en el medio de lecho es principalmente mediante adsorción más que filtración.
  17. 17.
    El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos filtrado está sustancialmente libre de finos.
  18. 18.
    Un sistema para eliminar finos de un fluido que contiene hidrocarburos, que comprende:
    a.
    un lecho de filtro de gravedad que incluye un medio de lecho de material de tierra;
    b.
    una fuente de calor térmicamente asociada con el medio de lecho;
    c.
    una fuente de fluido que contiene hidrocarburos;
    d.
    una entrada de administración de fluido configurada para permitir la introducción del fluido que contiene hidrocarburos de la fuente en el medio de lecho; y
    e.
    una salida de fluidos configurada para permitir la recogida del fluido que contiene hidrocarburos filtrado.
  19. 19.
    El sistema de la reivindicación 18, en donde el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos se produce a partir de un material hidrocarbonáceo y el material de tierra es del mismo tipo de material que el material hidrocarbonáceo.
  20. 20.
    El sistema de la reivindicación 18, en donde el material de tierra se selecciona del grupo que consiste en esquisto bituminoso, arenas alquitranadas, carbón, y combinaciones de los mismos.
  21. 21.
    El sistema de la reivindicación 18, en donde el material de tierra es esquisto bituminoso.
  22. 22.
    El sistema de la reivindicación 18, en donde el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos se selecciona del grupo que consiste en esquisto bituminoso, lodos de arenas alquitranadas, producto de licuación de carbón, y combinaciones de los mismos.
  23. 23.
    El sistema de la reivindicación 18, en donde la fuente del fluido que contiene hidrocarburos es un sistema de esquisto bituminoso, un sistema de arena alquitranada, una balsa de lodos de arena alquitranada o un sistema de licuación de carbón.
  24. 24.
    El sistema de la reivindicación 18, en donde el medio de lecho tiene una profundidad vertical desde aproximadamente 3 metros hasta aproximadamente 40 metros.
  25. 25.
    El sistema de la reivindicación 18, en donde el medio de lecho está sustancialmente libre de materiales sintéticos.
  26. 26.
    El sistema de la reivindicación 18, en donde la fuente de calor se configura para mantener un espesor de película del fluido que contiene hidrocarburos a través de al menos el 10% en volumen del material de tierra particulado que se contacta por el fluido que contiene hidrocarburos, en donde el espesor de la película no supera un espesor de película en equilibrio.
