Abstract

Gambling system, consisting of a main control unit (1), a central server (4), a central display (3) that allows multiple connections, a central mechanism that accepts currencies (6) and a maintenance supervisor module (5). The central mechanism that accepts currencies (6), the central screen (3) and the maintenance supervisor module (5) are installed at one several points away from the main control unit (1) and are connected to it by any link, to wired or wireless. The main control unit (1) is connected in line with the central server (4). The system also comprises at least one portable video terminal (2) connected to the main control unit (1).

Following the wording of the independent claim, D01 describes a gambling apparatus comprising, among others, the following technical elements: -A main control unit (see paragraphs [0042] and [0044] and reference 202 in figure 2) in line with a central server (see reference 218 in figure 2). -A central screen (see paragraph [0062]) -A central mechanism that accepts currencies (see paragraph [0062] and reference 408 in figure 4) comprising:

In relation to the independent claim and taking into account the content of D01, it is concluded that R1 lacks new in the sense of article 6.1 of the Patent Law since all the technical elements claimed are They are described in D01 where they perform the same technical function. As regards dependent claims R2 and R4, these are novel in the same way as the independent claim upon which they depend. The differences between the technical elements claimed in R3 and R5 through R8 and the content of D01 are considered mere design options that the subject matter expert would consider for the case in question and that do not involve activity inventive within the meaning of article 8.1 of the Patent Law. Additionally, D02 is cited as a relevant document within the state of the art.
