Abstract

Neumático de seguridad que comprende un neumático exterior de contacto con la carretera, de sección transversal abierta por el interior terminando en talones, una llanta sobre la cual va montado dicho neumático para formar un recipiente de aire, un diafragma que salva el espacio entre los talones del neumático y divide el recipiente de aire en una cámara exterior definida por el diafragma y la pared interior del neumático y una cámara interior formada por el diafragma y la llanta y dispositivo para inflar dichas cámaras, estando dicho diafragma curvado hacia fuera y teniendo un diámetro exterior sustancialmente más grande que el diámetro exterior de la llanta pero menor que le diámetro interior del neumático, con lo cual en condiciones de funcionamiento normal, no habrá contacto sustancial entre el diafragma y la pared interior periférica del neumático cuando ambas cámaras estén infladas, teniendo dicho diafragma una estructura de cuerpo formada por cordoncillos resistentes a tensión, embebidos en caucho y que se extiende d euna a otra pared de dicho neumático y anclada por sus extremos al mismo, siendo dicho diafragma sustancialmente impermeable al aire y teniendo al pared exterior periférica del diafragma un blindaje resistente a los pinchazos qeu comprende una capa relativamente dura, resistente a la abrasión de material que tenga, sustancialmente, una mayor resistencia a la abrasión que el cuerpo del diafragma para resistir la perforación del diafragma y para desviar objetos punzantes susceptibles de doblarse, que puedan atravesar el neumático y ponerse en contacto con el diafragma en una dirección circunferencial.
