Abstract

Un elemento absorbente perfeccionado para absorber y retener fluidos corporales y que comprende un elemento absorbente, de material hidrofílico poroso como medio absorbente, presentando dicho elemento absorbente una primera y una segunda superficies mayores y bordes laterales longitudinales y bordes de extremo transversales entre medias; el perfeccionamiento según el cual se disponen medios para retrasar el fallo prematuro de dicho producto por escape de dichos fluidos corporales desde lo citados bordes laterales, al tiempo que se mantienen tales bordes laterales suaves y absorbentes, comprendiendo los medios e cuestión una zona estrecha que se extiende longitudinalmente a lo largo de cada, uno de dichos bordes laterales, pero espaciada de cada uno de tales bordes laterales, estando dicha zona de extensión longitudinal impregnada por un material hidrofóbico de una superficie mayor a la otra superficie mayor, quedando libres de tal impregnación las porciones marginales extremas del indicadoelemento absorbente a lo largo de los citados bordes longitudinales.
