Abstract
A process for the preparation of N-alkyl piperidine monocarboxylic acid amides and N-alkyl pyrrolidine α -monocarboxylic acid of the following general formulas: wherein r1 represents an alkyl group R2 a lower alkyl group or a chloror atom3 a hydrogenation atom lower alkyl group or an alkoxy group R4 an atom hydrogen atom of chloro lower alkyl group or an alkoxyl group in which R2 R3 and R4 represent hydrogen all at the same time comprising this process the reaction of a magnesium aryl halide of the general formula: wherein x represents a halogen and R2 R3 and R4 represent that indicated above with an ester of pyrrolidine monocarboxylic acid or ester of pyrrole acid α -monocarboxylic acid hydrolyzed or not and alkylated or not in heterocyclic nitrogen thus, a reaction product which is hydrolyzed with an acid is left, and in cases where it is necessary, the heterocyclic ring for alkylation of the nitrogen of said ring is hydrogenated.
