Improvements in apparatuses for forging crankshafts and the like, characterized by splitting a bar and comprising end molds prepared to hold parts separated from the bar and arranged to move towards each other, along a fixed base with respect to the former, with object of longitudinally pressing or forging parts of the sustained bar located between the final matrices; a central tool prepared to fit in an intermediate axial part of the bar between the parts to be forged and arranged for a transverse displacement between the base and a relatively fixed head, in order to drive the said axial part out of alignment with the longitudinal axis of the bar; fluid-driven means for actuating respectively the end dies and the central tool, and ways to synchronize the active strokes of the end dies and the central tool, in order to achieve that the transverse displacement of the intermediate axial part of the bar coincides with the longitudinal forging of the aforementioned parts of the bar located on either side of the intermediate part.
