Abstract

Procedimiento mejorado para la producción de sulfato potásico por el método de la Glaserita. En el procedimiento se parte de sulfato sódico y cloruro potásico en disolución acuosa, y la mejora comprende el acoplamiento de una etapa de intercambio iónico con la cristalización correspondiente a la primera fase del procedimiento en que reaccionan dichos sulfato sódico y cloruro potásico para producir Glaserita y cloruro sódico, cristalizando o precipitando dicha Glaserita, para la obtención de un sulfato potásico de calidad comercial y alta recuperación de los iones contenidos en las corrientes residuales de las etapas de cristalización produciéndose efluentes de desecho no contaminantes de muy bajo contenido salino.
