Abstract
Un procedimiento de codificación escalable que usa un canal (300;701) de datos estándar que tiene una capa (310;710) del núcleo y una capa (320;720) de ampliación, comprendiendo el procedimiento: recibir una diversidad de señales de subbanda; determinar una primera resolución de cuantificación respectiva para cada señal de subbanda en respuesta a un primer espectro de ruido deseado y cuantificando cada señal de subbanda según la primera resolución de cuantificación respectiva para generar una primera señal codificada; determinar una segunda resolución de cuantificación respectiva para cada señal de subbanda en respuesta a un segundo espectro de ruido deseado y cuantificando cada señal de subbanda según la segunda resolución de cuantificación respectiva para generar una segunda señal codificada; generar una señal residual que indique un residuo entre la primera y segunda señales codificadas; y producir la primera señal codificada en la capa del núcleo y la señal residual en la capa de ampliación.
