Abstract

Safety system for motorcycles is applicable to the helmet and to the electrical components of it, being formed by a battery-fed programmable micro-controller (1) and a switch (5) which activates it when the helmet is placed on the head of the driver and correctly buckled, sending to the receiving circuit of the vehicle data necessary for it to be able to start, indicating by a double red and green lead (6) that it is able to start or preventing starting due to the position and placement of the helmet not being correct. The receiving circuit, provided with a micro-processor, activates the red and green lead, indicating start times, error and stopping times, so that in the event of a bad driver position or bad placing of the helmet, it indicates acoustically and visually the anomaly in question, eventually stopping the engine of the vehicle when the faults are not corrected.
