Un utensilio de cocina (400) presenta un receptáculo (405) y al menos un asa (420) conectada con el receptáculo (405), estando dividida una parte predominante del asa (420), a lo largo de una dirección esencialmente longitudinal (A), en una primera porción (425) y una segunda porción (430), que se acoplan, al menos parcialmente, a lo largo de la dirección longitudinal (A), y cada una de las cuales se articula con el receptáculo (405) para oscilar entre una posición de reposo, en la cual se dispone con un extremo libre cerca del receptáculo (405), reduciendo de esta manera el espacio ocupado por el utensilio, y una posición de empleo, en la cual la primera porción y la segunda porción (425, 430) se unen entre sí de manera tal que el asa (420) constituya un elemento esencialmente unitario, firmemente fijado al receptáculo (405) para asir con firmeza el utensilio.
