Abstract

Procedimiento e instalación para la fabricación de soluciones concentradas de nitrato amónico. El procedimiento comprende introducir ácido nítrico diluido y amoníaco anhidro en una corriente de una solución acuosa de nitrato amónico que circula desde un separador de reacción mantenido a una presión entre 1,5 y 3 bares absolutos (1,5.105 Pa - 3.105 Pa) y descarga en el mismo equipo, en el que se separan el vapor producto de la reacción del ácido nítrico con el amoníaco y una solución concentrada de nitrato amónico e intercalando como mínimo en el circuito de recirculación de esta solución un intercambiador, donde la solución recirculada cede calor para la concentración de otra corriente de solución, que alcanza una mayor concentración en nitrato amónico y un reactor neutralizador donde se produce la reacción del ácido nítrico con el amoníaco. Según la invención se obtienen soluciones de nitrato de amonio de concentración superior al 94% sin aporte de calor externo al sistema y exportando vapor con nivel térmico suficiente para su aprovechamiento en unidades ajenas a la instalación propia de la invención.
