Abstract
Un dispositivo para tratamiento catalítico de mezclas de gases, que comprende un intercambiador de calor, teniendo el intercambiador de calor al menos una entrada y al menos una salida, en el que: a) un catalizador está extendido sobre una pared divisoria o tabique, actuando la pared divisoria como portadora del catalizador, b) la pared divisoria consiste en una banda de metal o de cerámica conformada según un diseño o patrón, la cual está plegada a modo de acordeón en un paquete (1), c) el paquete forma canales alternadamente dispuestos con respecto al intercambio de calor que tiene lugar entre los mismos a través del material de la banda, estando determinada la geometría de los canales por el plegado y el patrón conformado de la banda, y d) el paquete (1) está contenido en una caja (2), caracterizado porque los canales alternadamente dispuestos en el paquete (1) están conectados a una entrada o a una salida (3, 6) de la caja (2) situadas en los lados o costados del paquete (1), es decir,los planos definidos por las líneas de pliegue del paquete (1), y a cámaras de inversión del gas (4, 5) situadas una en cada extremo, esto es, los extremos de las líneas de pliegue, del paquete (1), dispuestas de modo que, cuando el gas fluya a través del dispositivo, se intercambiará calor entre los flujos de entrada y de salida a medida que cambia la dirección del flujo a partir de una dirección de introducción en la entrada (3), formando un ángulo con los pliegues de la banda, hacia direcciones opuestas entre sí a lo largo de un primer lado de dichos lados de la banda dentro del paquete (1), y desde ahí, después de la inversión fuera de los extremos del paquete (1) en la respectiva cámara de inversión del gas (4, 5), hacia el lado opuesto a dicho primer lado de la banda dentro del paquete (1) mientras fluye en sentido opuesto a lo largo de las líneas de pliegue de los pliegues de la banda, y desde ahí hacia una dirección de salida en la salida (6) formando un ángulo con respecto a dichospliegues de la banda.
