Abstract

Un aparato util para purificar una corriente de gas comprende un intercambiador de calor, un sistema de catalizador soportado monolitico, cuyo extremo corriente abajo esta conectado en comunicacion de fluido con una entrada del intercambiador de calor, un intercambiador de calor de tubos y coraza, un sistema de catalizador que comprende un catalizador soportado en un soporte unitario monolitico que tiene pasos a traves del mismo, el soporte que tiene una longitud y extremos corriente arriba y corriente abajo en extremos opuestos de la longitud, en donde el diametro de dicho soporte es de la mitad a dos veces el diametro de la coraza del intercambiador de calor, y en donde el extremo corriente debajo de dicho soporte esta conectado en comunicacion de fluido con las entradas de dichos tubos mediante un paso cuya longitud no excede la longitud del soporte y cuyo diametro no esta en un punto menor que el diametro mas pequeno de dicho soporte y el diametro de dicha coraza.
