Abstract
SE PRESENTA UN METODO DE ECUALIZACION DE HISTOGRAMA PARA MEJORAR UNA SEÑAL DE IMAGEN REPRESENTADA POR UN NUMERO PREDETERMINADO DE NIVELES DE GRISES. EL METODO CALCULA UNA FUNCION DE DENSIDAD ACUMULATIVA Y UN NIVEL MEDIO EN UNA UNIDAD DE UNA IMAGEN, Y MAPEA UNA MUESTRA DE ENTRADA EN UN NUEVO NIVEL DE GRISES MEDIANTE UNA FUNCION DE TRANSFORMADA DEFINIDA POR EL USO DE LA FUNCION DE DENSIDAD ACUMULATIVA Y EL NIVEL MEDIO. EL METODO PUEDE INCLUIR TAMBIEN UN PASO PARA OBTENER UN NIVEL MEDIO COMPENSADO MEDIANTE LA ADICION DE UN NIVEL DE BRILLO MEDIO, DE MANERA QUE LA MUESTRA DE ENTRADA SEA MAPEADA EN EL NIVEL MEDIO COMPENSADO DE ACUERDO CON EL NIVEL MEDIO. DE ESTA FORMA, PUEDE LLEVARSE A CABO UNA COMPENSACION DE BRILLO JUNTO CON UNA MEJORA DEL CONTRASTE DE LA IMAGEN.
