Abstract

Acero, fabricado mediante un procedimiento distinto a la metalurgia de polvos, que incluye la fabricación de lingotes o piezas de fundición a partir de una fundición, caracterizado porque el acero tiene la siguiente composición química en tanto por ciento peso: Carbono: 2, 0-4, 3%, Silicio: 0, 1-2, 0%, Manganeso: 0, 1-2, 0%, Cromo: 5, 6-8, 5%, Níquel: máximo 1, 0%, Molibdeno: 1, 7-3%, en donde puede reemplazarse Mo, W Niobio: máximo 2, 0 %, Vanadio: 6, 5-15 %, en donde puede reemplazarse V, en hasta un máximo de 2 % de Nb Nitrógeno: máximo 0, 3 % en todo o en parte, por el doble de cantidad de todo o en parte, por el doble de cantidad de Nb en donde los contenidos de carbono y nitrógeno, por una parte, y de vanadio, por otra parte, y posiblemente el niobio existente, estén equilibrados entre sí, de forma que los contenidos de dichos elementos estén comprendidos dentro del área A, B¿, E, F, B¿, B, C, D, A en el sistema de coordenadas de la figura 2, donde las coordenadas V + 2Nb/C + N de dichos puntos son A: 9/3, 1; B¿: 9/2, 85; E: 15/4, 3; F: 15/3, 75; B¿: 9/2, 65; B: 9/2, 5; C: 6, 5/2, 0; D: 6, 5/2, 45, hierro semi-calmado e impurezas inevitables y porque el acero a temperatura ambiente, después del endurecimiento y templado, tiene una dureza entre 55 y 66 HRC y una microestructura que se compone de una matriz, que consiste principalmente en martensita y, en dicha matriz de 10-40 por ciento en volumen de partículas sólidas de tipo MX, donde M es vanadio y/o niobio, y X es carbono y nitrógeno, obteniendo dicha dureza y estructura mediante un procedimiento de fabricación distinto a la metalurgia de polvos y mediante el calentamiento del material a una temperatura entre 900°C y 1.150°C, mediante el calentamiento del material a dicha temperatura durante un periodo de tiempo de 15 minutos a 2 horas, enfriando el material a temperatura ambiente y templándolo una o varias veces a una temperatura de 150-650°C.
