SE PRESENTA UN METODO PARA EXAMINAR TUMORES DEPENDIENTES DE HORMONAS QUE COMPRENDE EL CULTIVO DE TEJIDOS DEL TUMOR EN CADA UNO DE A) UN MEDIO, B) UN MEDIO QUE CONTENGA UN SUBSTRATO DE SINTETASA DE HORMONA, Y C) UN MEDIO QUE CONTENGA TANTO UN SUBSTRATO DE SINTETASA DE HORMONA COMO UN INHIBIDOR DE LA SINTETASA DE LA HORMONA, MIDIENDO LA VELOCIDAD DE CRECIMIENTO DE LAS CELULAS TUMORALES EN CADA MEDIO, DETERMINANDO (I) LA PROPORCION DE LA VELOCIDAD DE CRECIMIENTO DE LAS CELULAS TUMORALES EN LA PRESENCIA DEL SUBSTRATO DE SINTETASA DE HORMONA CON RESPECTO A LAS QUE ESTAN EN EL MEDIO SOLO Y (II) LA PROPORCION DE LA VELOCIDAD DE CRECIMIENTO DE LAS CELULAS TUMORALES EN PRESENCIA DE TANTO UN SUBSTRATO DE SINTETASA DE HORMONA COMO DE UN INHIBIDOR DE SINTETASA DE HORMONA CON RESPECTO A LAS CELULAS QUE SE ENCUENTRAN EN EL MEDIO SOLO.
