DICHO METODO EMPLEA LA COMBUSTION DE OXIGENO SECUNDARIO CON COMBUSTIBLE, PARA FORMAR UNA ENVUELTA DE LLAMA ALREDEDOR DE UNA CORRIENTE DE GAS PRINCIPAL QUE PROTEGE EL GAS DEL ARRASTRE DE GASES AMBIENTALES, AL PASAR A TRAVES DE LA ZONA SUPERIOR DEL HORNO. ESTO PERMITE QUE EL GAS CONSERVE EN UN GRADO CONSIDERABLE, SU FUERZA ORIGINAL TRAS SU INYECCION EN LA ZONA SUPERIOR Y, POR TANTO, QUE PUEDA SER INYECTADO A UNA DISTANCIA SEGURA RESPECTO A LA SUPERFICIE DEL METAL FUNDIDO, LOGRANDO SIN EMBARGO UNA PENETRACION PRACTICAMENTE COMPLETA EN EL SENO DEL METAL FUNDIDO.
