Abstract

''PROCESSO PARA INJETAR GáS DENTRO DE UM FORNO CONTENDO UMA BANHO QUE é COMPOSTO DE UMA POçA DE METAL EM FUSãO COM UMA CAMADA DE ESCóRIA SOBRE SUA SUPERFìCIE DE TOPO''. Um processo para efetivamente injetar gás principal dentro de uma poça de metal em fusão, o qual é particularmente útil para o uso em um forno a arco elétrico. O processo emprega combustão de oxigênio secundário com combustível para formar um envelope de chama ao redor de uma corrente de gás principal que protege o gás principal contra a entrada de gases ambientais à medida que ele passa através do espaço confinante do forno, Isto permite que o gás retenha um graus substancial de sua força original sobre a injeção dentro do espaço confinante e deste modo pode ser injetado dentro do forno a uma distência segura da superfície de metal em fusão enquanto que ainda alcança penetração completa dentro do metal em fusão.
