EL PROCEDIMIENTO CONSISTE EN FUNDIR UN METAL MEDIANTE APORTACION DE COMBUSTIBLE Y APORTACION DE OXIGENO A TRAVES DE UN QUEMADOR Y SE CARACTERIZA POR EL HECHO DE QUE SE APORTA OXIGENO ADICIONAL A TRAVES DE UNA O MAS LANZAS ORIENTADAS HACIA LA CARGA, INYECTANDOSE EL OXIGENO A VELOCIDAD SUPERSONICA CON UNA PROPORCION ENTRE EL COMBUSTIBLE ENTRE-CARGA Y LA CARGA METALICA ENTRE EL 2% Y EL 6%. EL HORNO COMPRENDE POR LO MENOS UN QUEMADOR (5) Y UNA LANZA DE OXIGENO (2), QUE SE APLICA A TRAVES DEL PROPIO QUEMADOR (5) Y QUE COMPRENDE POR LO MENOS DOS TUBOS (6, 7) Y UN SISTEMA DE GUIADO (3).
