LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN METODO PARA REGULAR LA DISTANCIA DE UN VEHICULO AL PRECEDENTE QUE CONSISTE EN DETERMINAR, AL MENOS EN FUNCION DE LA VELOCIDAD DE MARCHA MOMENTANEA DEL VEHICULO, UNA DISTANCIA TEORICA AL VEHICULO PRECEDENTE Y UNA DISTANCIA REAL AL MISMO, ASI COMO A UN DISPOSITIVO PARA IMPLANTAR ESTE METODO. SEGUN LA INVENCION, CUANDO LA DIFERENCIA ENTRE LA DISTANCIA REAL Y EL VALOR TEORICO PREFIJADO DA COMO RESULTADO UN VALOR DE DESVIACION NEGATIVO, EL CONDUCTOR RECIBE UNA SEÑAL DE AVISO EN FUNCION DEL COMPORTAMIENTO DE CONDUCCION. DE ESTA FORMA, CUANDO SE ENCUENTRA ACTIVADA LA REGULACION DE DISTANCIA, EL CONDUCTOR ES AVISADO SI SE ACERCA DEMASIADO AL VEHICULO PRECEDENTE.
