Abstract

Procedimiento para el funcionamiento de instalaciones de hornos para aleaciones de magnesio, en el que una superficie de colada se cubre con un gas protector a base de una mezcla de SO2 y un gas inerte, ajustándose exactamente la proporción volumétrica de SO2 en un valor que se halla en una zona entre 0,3 % y 1,5 %, preferiblemente entre 0,5 % y 1,0 %, caracterizado porque la mezcla de SO2 y gas inerte se efectúa en un recinto climatizado.
