Abstract

Tonómetro ocular epipalpebral o corneal. Aparato para medir la presión intraocular (P), aplicando un palpador central (1), con una fuerza (P) sobre el párpado cerrado del paciente (3) y midiendo indirectamente la deformación del globo ocular (5), bien por el recorrido ({dl}r) del palpador (1), bien por la desnivelación ({dl}R) entre el palpador central (1) y los palpadores periféricos (2). El objetivo principal de la invención es poner a disposición del público un aparato de fácil manejo, para poder prevenir el glaucoma. Se reivindican diversas ejecuciones, tanto mecánicas como electrónicas, incluso una ejecución especial para investigación oftalmológica, en la que el contacto del palpador (1) es directo sobre la córnea.
