Abstract

The bonding of luminescent material on e.g. ceramics comprises blending of e.g. Lumilux Green Effect N-FG based on a 30:70 mixture of stabilizer and luminescent material, with organic solvent and an alkene. The solvent is saturated, giving a high-density product, and the homogenized blend is applied to the ceramic in uniform layers, with drying at ambient temperature in 15-30 minutes. Evaporation in a furnace is followed by lowering of the temperature to bond the material to the ceramic. Controlled cooling gives a product of at least 75 kg/cm2 mechanical strength.
