Abstract

The container is formed by a rectangular parallelepipedal body 1 with a wall structure based on a polyurethane insulator 4, a stainless-steel lining 5 forming the inner surface and a galvanised sheet 6 forming the outer surface, a wooden panel 7 being provided between the outer surface and the insulating layer 4, all this on a metallic chassis or structure. Inside the container provision has been made for a series of nozzles 8 through which liquid nitrogen from bottles (canisters) 2 or from a suitable storage tank is sprayed. The liquid nitrogen is distributed inside the container 1 with the aid of fans 10, giving rise to rapid freezing and preservation of the frozen product. The container is advantageous in its use for the transportation, storage and preservation of products for human consumption, such as fish, meat or any other product which can be frozen.
