LA PRESENTE INVENCION TIENE COMO OBJETIVO MEJORAR LA ACTIVIDAD CATALITICA DEL PLATINO METALICO DEPOSITADO SOBRE EL SUSTRATO DE UN ELECTRODO CONTADOR (P.EJ. EL CATODO), PARA OBTENER UN VALOR ELEVADO DE ACTIVIDAD CATALITICA EN LA REACCION DE REDUCCION DEL TRIYODURO A YODURO, PRACTICAMENTE INDEPENDIENTE DE LA NATURALEZA DEL DISOLVENTE USADO EN EL ELECTROLITO. CON ESTE OBJETO, EL PROCESO DE FABRICACION CON ARREGLO A LA INVENCION SE CARACTERIZA PORQUE DICHO PLATINO METALICO SE DEPOSITA EN FORMA DE UNA MULTITUD DE GRUPOS MICROCRISTALINOS ESFEROIDALES, TODOS CON UN TAMAÑO INFERIOR A 100 NM, DISPERSOS SOBRE LA SUPERFICIE DE DICHO SUSTRATO, Y DICHO PLATINO METALICO DEPOSITADO SE SOMETE A TRATAMIENTO TERMICO, REALIZADO A UNA TEMPERATURA DENTRO DE UN RANGO APROXIMADO DE 375 A 400 C, CON EL FIN DE MEJORAR LAS PROPIEDADES CATALITICAS DEL PLATINO EN LA REACCION DE OXIDOREDUCCION DEL IODO Y EL TRIYODURO 3I 2 + 2 E - -> 2 I 3- EN EL SISTEMA REDOX IODO/YODURO.
