Abstract

A method and apparatus are disclosed for depositing a coating on a plurality of objects 7 to protect them from corrosion, eg coating bolts for use in a reinforced earth structure with metal. The bolts 7 are agitated in a rotating drum 2 whilst being sprayed with molten metal from spray gun 9. Agitation during spray-coating ensures that all their surfaces are presented to the spray to achieve a uniform coating. The bolts may be pretreated by being blasted with an abrasive material whilst being agitated in the drum.
