Abstract

Culata sin válvulas para motores de combustión interna de cuatro tiempos. Cinco componentes fundamentales (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) permiten coordinar los cuatro tiempos del motor, combinando la distribución de gases y estanqueidad en cámara de combustión al movimiento alternativo del pistón. Un eje rotatorio distribuidor (1) sincronizado al cigüeñal del motor, dispone de orificios de admisión (8) y de escape (7) con salidas en la superficie esférica (6) que comunican al cilindro en sus tiempos correspondientes. Orificios incomunicados entre sí y realizados para coincidir con las tomas de admisión y escape al exterior. Un casquillo de cierre (2) en contacto deslizante sobre la superficie esférica mediante un resorte cónico (3) hermetizan la cámara de combustión en la compresión y expansión, y conducen con el orificio (9) en el cuerpo inferior (4) los gases de admisión y escape en cada tiempo correspondiente. Un cuerpo inferior (4) y otro superior (5), alojan todos los componentes mencionados formandoel conjunto de la culata.
