Abstract

The partition (3) in the carburettor housing (1) defines two float chambers (4,5). One chamber (4) has a larger capacity forming the float chamber proper, whose outlets lead to the main and idle run jets. The auxiliary chamber (5) is rather small, whose outlet leads to the cold start system. Both chambers communicate via a small incision (6) in the partition top edge for fuel feed from the main to the auxiliary float chamber. The incision lowest point determines the top level in the auxiliary chamber, remaining constant up to the instant of the cold start.
