LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCESO PARA POLIMERIZAR AL MENOS UNA OLEFINA CON LA AYUDA DE UN CATALIZADOR QUE CONTIENE AL MENOS UN COMPUESTO ORGANOMETALICO DE UN METAL DE TRANSICION QUE POSEE AL MENOS UN LIGANTE DE CICLOPENTADIENILO O DE CICLOPENTADIENILO SUSTITUIDO. LA POLIMERIZACION SE LLEVA A CABO EN UNA FASE DE GAS O EN SUSPENSION EN UN MEDIO DE POLIMERIZACION LIQUIDO SELECCIONADO ENTRE HIDROCARBUROS SATURADOS O INSATURADOS, EN LA PRESENCIA DE HIDROGENO O DE UN COMPONENTE DE POLIMERIZACION SELECCIONADO ENTRE HIDROCARBUROS HALOGENADOS. EL USO COMBINADO DE HIDROGENO Y DE HIDROCARBURO HALOGENADO EN EL PROCESO DE POLIMERIZACION MEJORA SIMULTANEAMENTE LA ACTIVIDAD DEL CATALIZADOR Y EL CONTROL DEL PESO MOLECULAR DEL POLIMERO.
