EL CONMUTADOR ESTA DISPUESTO PARA CONECTAR UNA SEÑAL DE UNA PRIMERA LONGITUD DE ONDA EN RESPUESTA A UNA SEÑAL DE CONTROL DE UNA SEGUNDA LONGITUD DE ONDA APLICADA AL MEDIO DE GANANCIA OPTICA. EL INDICE DE REFRACCION DEL MEDIO DE GANANCIA SE MODIFICA EN RESPUESTA A LA SEÑAL DE CONTROL. UNA SEÑAL DE MANTENIMIENTO OPTICO DE UNA TERCERA LONGITUD DE ONDA SE APLICA AL MEDIO DE GANANCIA.
