Abstract

A component such as a gear wheel, cam or roller includes an aperture (13) adapted to receive a shaft and a pair of flexure members (14) defining jaws spaced from the aperture (13). A cross pin on the shaft can be forced between the jaws to lie in a region of greater spacing of the flexure members (14). A cup (23) braces the pin against the backs of the jaws to prevent further movement of the shaft.
