Abstract
Electrical assembly to supply a load a half-period or a substantial part thereof of an alternating current supply for each operating time of the circuit arrangement comprising a first electric discharge tube whose effective impedance is in series with the load a second path of electric discharge and means to change to said second discharge path from its non-conductive condition to its conductive condition or vice versa as a function of a voltage derived from the alternating current fed with which the change produces an impulse that allows the first discharge tube drive only for one half cycle for each operating time of the circuit arrangement.
