Abstract
LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN METODO PARA DETERMINAR LA EQUIVALENCIA DE CARBONO (C.E.) DE MASAS FUNDIDAS DE HIERRO DE ESTRUCTURA MODIFICADA, Y AL USO DE ESTE METODO PARA AJUSTAR LA COMPOSICION DE LA PASTA FUNDIDA DE HIERRO DE ESTRUCTURA MODIFICADA. EL METODO SE BASA EN LA INTRODUCCION DE UNA O MAS PIEZAS DE HIERRO DE BAJO CONTENIDO DE CARBONO EN UN CONTENEDOR DE MUESTRAS. LAS PIEZAS DE HIERRO TIENEN UN TAMAÑO TAL QUE LAS PIEZAS DE HIERRO NO SE FUNDAN COMPLETAMENTE CUANDO EL CONTENEDOR DE MUESTRAS SE LLENA CON MATERIA FUNDIDA, QUE SE DEJA SOLIDIFICAR. LA TEMPERATURA DE LA MATERIA FUNDIDA SE GRABA A MEDIDA QUE ESTA SOLIDIFICA. CUANDO SE PONE EN PRACTICA EL METODO SE OBTIENE UNA TEMPERATURA ABSOLUTA BIEN DEFINIDA A MEDIDA QUE LA TEMPERATURA PASA LA LINEA LIQUIDA DE FASE O UNA DIFERENCIA DE TEMPERATURA EN RELACION CON LA TEMPERATURA EUTECTICA DEL HIERRO FUNDIDO DE ESTRUCTURA MODIFICADA DE UN TIPO MUY SIMILAR. EL EQUIVALENTE DE CARBONO SE DETERMINA SOBRE LA BASE DE UNA DIAGRAMA DE FASE APLICABLEA ESTE HIERRO FUNDIDO DE ESTRUCTURA MODIFICADA. EL EQUIVALENTE DE CARBONO DE LA MASA FUNDIDA SE AJUSTA AÑADIENDO CARBONO Y/O SILICIO O HIERRO DE BAJO CONTENIDO EN CARBONO.
