COMO LA FRECUENCIA DE LAS VIBRACIONES POR EL PICADO VARIAN EN FUNCION DE LOS PARAMETROS DE SERVICIO DEL MOTOR DE COMBUSTION INTERNA, LA FRECUENCIA MEDIA DE LOS FILTROS, QUE DEBEN FILTRAR LAS VIBRACIONES DEL PICADO, SON DESPLAZADAS CON AYUDA DEL DISPOSITIVO DE CALCULO (17) POR ENCIMA DE LA FRECUENCIA DE PULSACION DE UN FILTRO CON CONDENSADOR CONECTADO. LA COMPARACION DE LAS SEÑALES QUE HAN PASADO POR EL FILTRO CON LA FRECUENCIA MEDIA CONTROLADA, CON LAS SEÑALES QUE HAN PASADO POR EL FILTRO CON LA FRECUENCIA MEDIA CONSTANTE, PERMITE LA DETECCION DEL PICADO CUANDO SE SUPERA UNA DIFERENCIA PREDETERMINABLE ENTRE LAS SEÑALES. TAMBIEN ES POSIBLE DETECTAR EL PICADO POR ANALISIS DE LOS DESPLAZAMIENTOS DE LAS FRECUENCIAS DE LAS SEÑALES PROPORCIONADAS POR EL SENSOR DE PICADO.
