Improvements in apparatus to produce acoustic signals characterized by a diaphragm whose central part is driven towards the entrance of a nozzle or nozzle whose exit communicates with an amplifying horn, providing a closed space around the entrance end of the nozzle; part of the side of the diaphragm corresponding to the nozzle forms a wall for limiting said space and since at least one entrance restricted to said space is arranged to admit the same gaseous medium at relatively high pressure, the arrangement being such that when admitting in this way gaseous medium at high pressure the diaphragm is forced to vibrate and the medium passes between the diaphragm and the inlet end of the nozzle through it and then to the amplifying horn, amplifying the sounds produced by the vibrating diaphragm.
