Abstract
The process comprises the use of a D-amino acid oxidase (DAO)-containing mixture whose esterase activity is 5% or less of the DAO activity. An excellent yield of glutaryl-7-ACA can be attained in high quality. Moreover, the process comprises simple and safe steps, so it is applicable to industrial scale. The DAO-containing mixture used can be obtained by treating a DAO-containing mixture with copper compounds or comprises a catalase deficient strain of Trigonopsis variabilis.
