EN UN GRANULADO DE MATERIAL TERMOPLASTICO REFORZADO CON FIBRA, ESTAN DISPUESTOS PARALELOS UN NUMERO DE FILAMENTOS INDIVIDUALES (POR EJEMPLO, VIDRIO) EN UNA MATRIZ DEL MATERIAL TERMOPLASTICO (POR EJEMPLO, POLIPROPILENO). LA LONGITUD DE LAS FIBRAS CORRESPONDE A LA LONGITUD DEL GRANULADO Y ESTA EN EL MARGEN DESDE 3 MM HASTA 8 MM. LA VISCOSIDAD DE FUSION DEL MATERIAL TERMOPLASTICO ESTA POR ENCIMA DE 100 PA (POR) S, EL DIAMETRO DEL GRANULADO (MEDIDO PERPENDICULAR A LA DIRECCION DE LA FIBRA) ASCIENDE A 1,7 HASTA 5 MM Y LA RELACION DIAMETRO/LONGITUD DEL GRANULADO A 0,4 HASTA 1,66.
