Abstract
An electrical terminal die-cut and formed from sheet metal material and comprising two receptacle parts, each of which has a generally planar body whose opposite side edges have formed two separate, elastic, cylindrical rolled or cylindrical parts having longitudinal edges free ones directed towards the body, one leg extending from one end of each body and the other ends being connected together by means of an integral core which locates the receptacle parts in oppositional relationship back to back, characterized by the fact that a slit the cable receiving means is formed in the body of at least one of the receptacle parts at a location situated between the elastic wound parts and essentially extends parallel to its geometrical axes, the slot opening at one end remote from the leg to form a cable receiving mouth through which a cable can be pushed and insulated, transversely with respect to its geometric axis, within the slot, so that the edges of the slot penetrate the insulation to effect the electrical connection with the conductive core of the cable.
